About

About Me

Mr. Michael H. Goldman, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups. He earned his Master of Social Work from Arizona State University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island. Additionally, he is certified in School Social Work in the state of New Jersey.

Mr. Goldman began his career in a private therapeutic school setting, where he spent seven years working with children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges. During this time, he developed expertise in treating Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, school refusal, and learning disabilities. He became deeply familiar with the special education process and worked closely with students to develop coping strategies and build social-emotional skills. His work included individual therapy, daily social skills groups, and the development of innovative programs such as volunteer initiatives for at-risk youth, summer social skills workshops, and equine-assisted experiential therapy. In recognition of his dedication, he received the “You Make a Difference” award in 2011.

After relocating from Arizona to New Jersey, Mr. Goldman transitioned into private group practice, expanding his therapeutic reach to a broader client population. He provided individual, family, and group therapy, as well as school-based consultation and coordination. His clinical focus includes Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder across the lifespan—from early childhood through adulthood. He facilitated social skills, process, and resiliency groups for students of all ages, and developed a specialized practice supporting adults with developmental and life challenges, helping them transition toward greater independence.

Mr. Goldman is known for building strong collaborative relationships with families, schools, and community providers. His deep understanding of special education systems enables him to guide families through complex decision-making with confidence and care.

In 2020, after a decade in group practice, Mr. Goldman established Goldman Clinical Services LLC, where he continues to provide comprehensive psychotherapeutic care to individuals and families. His work remains rooted in a strength-based, compassionate approach tailored to each client’s unique needs.
